Updating Your Old Bathroom Can Add Charm To Your Homes By Dallas Bath Remodel

Many of us view their lavatory as a retreat where they can hide out at the end of the day and experience a long soak in the tub or a steaming, hot shower. Nowadays, bathrooms are more than only bathrooms. Many folks use bogs as a retreat from life.

Many of us would really like to improve our lavatories but feel that the costs might be overwhelming and out of our reach. Essentially, a bathroom refresh does not need to be such a major cost. There are several little things that we are able to do to our loos that will greatly improve them without draining our bank accounts in the process.

Update the bathroom Tiles

One change we are able to make is to simply update the tiles in the lavatory. They’re plain and dull. There are no real patterns or attraction.

I’m really not saying that we need to go in and replace all of the tile in the loo either. If everything is too neutral, we’d need to consider some accent tiles here and there to add a splash of colour. In doing this, we might decide to form some colorful patterns on the floors or walls. If that seems like too much work and cost, we could consider simply doing some colored tiles to spotlight areas around the tub or sink.

There are tons of good books available on the way to install tile and it doesn’t need to be a major project. There are also free resources available.

Updating cabinets and Fixtures

Another thing we will be able to do to actually improve the appearance of our bathroom is to think about updating the cabinets and fixtures.

For the cabinets, we don’t always have to replace them since that may be expensive.

Replacing those cheap fixtures can be an extreme improvement.

If we have old, nauseating taps in the toilet, we can update them with more recent, nicer ones. This is especially true if we get something more stylish.

Like the lighting and faucets, we will also replace the knobs on the cabinets with something nicer. Knobs are very simple to replace and they aren’t extremely costly. After painting or staining the cabinets, try and imagine how nice they’d look after we put shiny, new hardware on them.

simply a Splash of Paint

One of the least cheap things we will do to change the appearance of our toilets is to color them. A fresh coat of paint, in a nice color, can make it feel just like a new toilet. You may either paint all of the walls a similar color or perhaps just create an accent wall to improve the general appearance.

We will go to our local do-it-yourself store and just browse around for ideas. As we look at different ideas, we can estimate how much it might cost us to make those changes. In fact, we can make changes to our toilets without spending huge amounts. Just let your budget be your guide and be creative.

What Others Are Saying!

"I'm so grateful Sunshine come into my life! Not only do I have a beautiful new sunroom but now my 50 year old home looks brand new since it was painted. I have found a contractor to handle all the "projects" around the house that my husband has no interest or time to do. No matter how small the job, when I call, they come. What a great feeling to have someone I can count on!"

Carol Ann,
Dallas, TX

"I would like to take this opportunity to commend Sunshine Sunrooms for the outstanding job that was done in designing and constructing a sunroom for our home. My decision to use Sunshine was based on the fact Sunshine listened to what we wanted and helped us design a room from our concept that we would be satisfied with. And satisfied we are!"

"We have lived in our home for over twenty years and never before gotten the types of compliments tha we have received from friends and family on how much more attractive and livable our sunroom addition has made our home. We have spent many pleasant hours this summer enjoying the room. We can only thank Sunshine Sunrooms and their staff for working with us to make our dream room something we can enjoy and be very proud of."

Norman and Toni,

"When Sunshine came to my house and looked at my existing room, they paid very close attention to what I was looking for. They asked many questions about my life style and spent hours with me planning my room. I was beginning to see the sun again. It turned out better than I had imagined. I am now the proud owner of a beautiful sunroom that I enjoy everyday. I couldn't have hired a better contractor than Sunshine."
